On my last hike here in March of 2019, the trail was flagged, and the trees in the trail had been cut, so there was nothing blocking the path. Some advice: start down the old logging road and stay to the right where it forks. It’s not immediately evident where the trail starts, but it’s easy to follow once you find it.
