This gives views over the Nattai with Mt Jellore easily identified. There are a number of other tracks that branch off the trail you are following that go to other features in the area, those we have not as yet done, but the area is so spectacualr that I reckon we will be back to do more exploring. The walk so far has been through fairly open Aussie bush, after walking down into the saddle it tends to thicken up a bit but the track is very well defined and easy to follow. It then descents gently for the next 800m (15 min) into a small gully, to a track junction at 609009. The walk starts from the car park at the end of Wattle Ridge Road, in Hill Top. It’s the Blue Mountains, but not like the 3 Sisters in Katoomba.

After 5.2km turn left on to Chalker Parade, and then follow the road around to the right after it crosses the old railway line, and becomes West Parade. From here on, some care is needed to stay on the track, as it can be hard to pick up when crossing rocky clearings.
That app has every trail marked, every dirt road is there and with GPS it was really easy to follow. In fact, we walked the wrong trail almost from the start. Nobody else was there. Take a left fork leading to Rocky Waterholes Lookout and just past this junction look for a right turn which meanders along the ridge to Ahearn's Lookout.
